Art Nouveau Corbels & Consoles- Inspired by Nature

The Art Nouveau Style began in the 1880's - known as "New Art" taking it's inspiration from the natural world. A free flowing nature style was applied to art and architecture in Paris, Brussels, Barcelona and the Netherlands.  Famous architects as Victor Horta and Gaudi produced wonderful creations that are on display today.  This style is the basis of the modern movement.  Corbels are used in interiors, furnishings, and exterior facades of buildings.
